Queen’s Royal College, formally known as the Queen’s Collegiate School, was originally opened in 1859 as a government funded, non-denominational college. After the relocation of the Government Farm in 1899, a plot of land on the corner of Maraval Road and St. Clair Avenue was established as the site for the new QRC building.
