When Legree tires of Cassy and tries to kill her, Uncle Tom sacrifices himself to save her. After Abraham Lincoln is elected President of the United States, the slaves revolt and are sheltered in a monastery. A gun battle ensues, and Cassy is killed by Sambo, an overseer, as the encircled slaves flood the cotton fields and escape to safety.

Eliza escapes with her child, but Legree takes the others in chains to his Natchez estate. En route, Uncle Tom is befriended by ailing Little Eva, who induces her father, Mr. Saint-Claire, to buy Uncle Tom and free him when she dies. Mr. Saint-Claire fulfills Little Eva's dying request and also frees the rest of his slaves.
