Robert Tailboys (c. 1528 – c. 26 June 1542) was a younger son of Elizabeth Blount and Gilbert Tailboys, 1st Baron Tailboys of Kyme. Through his mother he was the half brother of Henry FitzRoy, 1st Duke of Richmond and Somerset , who was the only illegitimate offspring acknowledged by Henry VIII, King of England.

It is not known who replaced Tailboys in the Commons although late in 1532 or early in 1533 three names, those of Robert Hussey, William Skipwith and Sir Robert Tyrwhitt, were put forward. 6. Tailboys survived his translation for no more than four months; he died on 15 Apr. 1530, apparently intestate, and was buried at South Kyme.
