Lloyd states that Tudor married Janet, daughter of Rhys Fychan ab Rhys ab Maredudd, by whom he had four sons. [2] Sionet. Sionet is the Welsh equivalent of Janet.
There are various accounts of Rhys' death: one states that he was captured and executed in 1412; another states he died at his home in Anglesey. Gwilym ap Tudur was pardoned in 1413. Maredudd ap Tudur's final fate is unclear. But, we know that he married a lady named Marged (Margaret) and had at least one child, named Owen.
Their possessions in Anglesey and Caernarvonshire passed to Tudur's sons - GORONWY OF PENMYNYDD (died 1382), EDNYFED OF TRECASTELL (died c. 1382), RHYS OF ERDDREINIOG, GWILYM OF CLORACH, and MAREDUDD, whose precise share of the family inheritance is not known. Goronwy, Rhys, and Gwilym were in the personal following of Richard II.
