The duo's only album was 1985's "Profiles," produced at Britannia Row studios. A collection of typical mid-'80s synth-pop, Profiles included "Lie for a Lie," sung by Floyd's David Gilmour, which showed up on a compilation called "Heard It on the Radio, Vol. 3," released Oct. 26, 1999. ‘Profiles’ is Nick's first collaboration with 10cc guitarist Rick Fenn and was his second album outside of Pink Floyd. Released in 1985 as ‘Mason + Fenn’, it is mainly an instrumental album except for tracks ‘Lie for a Lie’, which features vocals from Maggie Reilly and former bandmate David Gilmour and ‘Israel’, sung by UFO keyboardist Danny Peyronel.

Er wurde als Gründungsmitglied und Schlagzeuger der Rockgruppe Pink Floyd bekannt. Er ist das einzige Bandmitglied, das auf allen Alben der Gruppe vertreten ist.
