Chick Corea discography. Chick Corea (1941–2021) was an American jazz pianist and composer born on June 12, 1941, in Chelsea, Massachusetts. Corea started learning piano at age four. He recorded his first album, Tones for Joan's Bones, in 1966. [1] Corea performed with Blue Mitchell, Willie Bobo, Cal Tjader and Herbie Mann in the mid-1960s.
11 de fev. de 2007 · This album with just Chick on acoustic piano and Steve Kujala on flute does just that. It is VERY mellow. This is how the harder fusion of the 70's got mutated into what it is today (Yellowjackets, Fourplay, etc.): smooth jazz. But, that doesn't mean that this is a bad album. I really don't think Chick Corea could do a bad album!
