The resulting release, Que Mango!, is an album that perfectly captures the exotic spirit of the 50’s and yet enhances that spirit with small sparkling glints of the 60’s Surf movement, and the 70’s Funk rising. Now considered something of a ‘lost classic’ of Baxter’s work, the album finally gets a deserved re-issue for RSD 2022.

The track “Quiet Village” on the album is deemed an exotica anthem, described by Les Baxter himself as a "tone poem of the sound and the struggle of the jungle." His album Que Mango!
