De 1903 a 1921, parte de la finca alrededor de los establos se utilizó como escuela de entrenamiento de oficiales subalternos para la Royal Navy, conocida como Royal Naval College, Osborne. The Naval Shipbuilding College. Importantly, in 2018 a Naval Shipbuilding College (NSC) was formed, also based at Osborne and co‑located with the major shipyard. The NSC was established to ensure an ongoing sovereign workforce for the Australian shipbuilding industry and to identify the training and education requirements for this industry.
