This gives such a prime example of just how controlling Lionel was of Jeff. Jeff would have been 29 years old, when his dad did this. Clearly Jeff needed assistance around planning goals and sticking to keeping on top of his life and finances and he needed big time supervision..but this goes to show a lot where Jeff’s intense need for control came from.

So I'm sorry I just had 2 say it. Jeff’s parents weren’t perfect but at least Lionel was there for him throughout his life. If you want to see a real tragic upbringing you should read about Ed Gein’s parents. The horrendous emotional and physical abuse they inflicted on Ed stunted his growth and made him who he was.

Since he is in prison clothes, I would assume that the T-shirt he is wearing is prison issued. I don’t think he would be allowed to wear anything personal at that stage. It prob just states the name of the prison on it. Lionel stated that right after the trial ended and Jeff was taken away, Lionel was given all of Jeff’s clothes in a bag
