18 de mai. de 2024 · Anne Boleyn's father, Thomas Boleyn, bought Hever Castle in around 1505. Anne Boleyn grew up there. It became Anne of Cleves' main residence. Henry became close to Anne of Cleves in a platonic way after the divorce, referring to her as his "dearest sister." The castle is now open as a historical tourist attraction.

Anne was the daughter of Thomas Boleyn, 1 st Earl of Wiltshire, and his wife, Lady Elizabeth Howard, and was tutored in France and the Netherlands, mainly as a maid of honor to Queen Claude of France.
