It is the largest preparatory school in London and was originally a boys-exclusive school, turning fully coeducational in 1981. The school is known for its distinct uniform, which includes thick mustard cable-knit jumpers, rust corduroy knickerbockers, knitted hats, and bags in British racing green.
At Hill House, we are committed to providing a rounded and complete education, providing opportunities beyond the classroom. We offer pupils over 100 extra-curricular activities, allowing them to develop their interests and discover new talents.

Hill House School is an independent day school for girls and boys aged from 3 to 18, with small classes and around 700 pupils.
Ages 9-13. A happy and inspiring learning journey. At every stage of their journey through Hill House, children enjoy small class sizes, outstanding teaching and fantastic facilities. Our pupils achieve excellent results gaining places at top independent schools across the country.
We welcome applications at many entry points across Junior, Senior School and Sixth Form, from age three in our Nursery right up to 16+ entry in our Sixth Form. However, we are happy to welcome children into any year group throughout the academic year, subject to available spaces.
