Noblesse oblige on prantsuskeelne laiemalt kasutatav väljend, tähistamaks väärikust kuulumisest mingisse seltskonda ehk kohustust olla väärikas oma päritolu tõttu. Eesti keeles kasutatakse selle tõlkena väljendit "seisus kohustab". Selle väljendiga rõhutatakse arusaama, et võimu, heaolu ja autoriteediga kaasneb ka kohustus ja vastutus.
