The Void Shard be found in the Crimson Badlands, dropped by the Apophis - a boss-level serpent. It also has a 2% chance of being selected for harvest from a full Void Eel fish pond. Once the player has obtained a Void Shard, a cutscene will trigger upon entering the Adventurer's Guild in which the player and Marlon visit Magnus to investigate the shard's origin.
