The Sahara desert is the world’s largest hot desert, spanning over 3.5 million square miles across 11 nations. It is a vast wilderness that offers endless opportunities for adventure. Although the desert is mostly empty and there are no ‘Sahara Desert attractions’ as such, there are still plenty of things to do and unique experiences to be had.

It extends across the whole of North Africa from the ATLANTIC OCEAN to the RED SEA, a distance of more than 3,500 mi (5,630 km). It stretches south for at least 1,200 mi (1,930 km).
