Dora Carrington fue una experimentada retratista y paisajista, y también trabajó en artes aplicadas y decorativas, pintando sobre cualquier superficie que tuviera cerca, como letreros, tejas o muebles. Born in Hereford she attended the all-girls’ Bedford High School before entering the Slade School of Art in 1910.

Dora Carrington (Hereford, 29 de març de 1893 – Newbury, 11 de març de 1932). Pintora i decoradora britànica, dona bisexual, que serà recordada per la seva vida bohèmia amb els companys i companyes del Grup de Boomsbury , i sobretot per l'amor tan intens que va viure amb l'escriptor anglès Lytton Strachey , un dels escriptors de més èxit a l'Anglaterra postvictoriana.
