19 de dez. de 2023 · Air Commodore Douglas DouglasHamilton, 14th Duke of Hamilton and 11th Duke of Brandon (3 February 1903 30 March 1973) was a Scottish nobleman and pioneering aviator who, together with D.F. McIntyre, was the first man to fly over Mount Everest.

A pioneer aviator, he was the chief pilot of the first flight over Mount Everest in 1933. The duchess supported her husband's public life and has played an active part in the cultural activities of the Lothians.
