Roy Bittan. Roy joined Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band in Aug of 1974. He had responded to an ad in the Village Voice that was looking for a keyboardist who could play everything from “classical to Jerry Lee Lewis”. Over the course of 2 auditions (and beating out 30 other applicants), he got the job, replacing David Sancious.
