31 de ago. de 2022 · Na 25 jaar dan eindelijk pas The People vs Larry Flynt gekeken. Ik weet het niet maar ik dacht altijd dat het zo'n duffe film was, maar het tegenovergestelde bleek waar. Toevallig dat ik vanochtend op film1 de film tegenkwam. Hij begon net en ben blijven kijken omdat het gewoon een heel mooi verhaal is, met een prachtige rol van Woody Harrelson.
The compelling story of porn industry iconoclast Larry Flynt (Harrelson), who, with his wife Althea Leasure (Love), builds an empire out of Hustler magazine. Along the way, Flynt runs for President, falls victim to an attempted murder plot that leaves him paralyzed, and becomes embroiled in a First Amendment legal battle that culminates in a Supreme Court victory.
