The third LP from Toronto's Lighthouse, Peacing It All Together was released in 1970 according to Discogs, not in '69, the same year as their first two (although, of course, that sort of ambition has been seen as successful elsewhere).
And although others seem to disagree, I think that the third album, Peacing It All Together, is the strongest both in terms of the songwriting and the clean production sound. I never tire of the simple storybook song “Mr. Candleman” (a reference, I believe, to the infilling of the Holy Spirit; see: Gospel), and “Sausalito” is simply the best pop song of their entire RCA period, hands down.

I like how all the loose ends were wrapped up with a satisfying ending. I look forward to reading A Patchwork Past when is comes out in the spring. Piecing It All Together is a charming story with an unfeeling fiancé, an AWOL adolescent, a determined deputy, a quilt quandary, an emergency midwife, and ancestral anecdotes.
