The Guess Who is a rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba that was one of the first Canadian groups to establish a major successful following both in their own country as well as abroad. In their late 60s and early 70s heyday, the guys took influence from late period British invasion bands as well as stuck alongside them on the charts.
To try to sell more of this CD to the casual music fan. A couple of years ago, 3/4 of this album was released as "bonus cuts" on Share the Land & Canned Wheat. They sound much better on these, so what you do is make your own "The Way They Were" using the bonus-cuts first and filling in whats left over with whats on this CD.

Winnipeggers, of course, know the tale really begins years earlier with Chad Allen & The Reflections, who begat Chad Allen & The Expressions, who scored a left-field hit in 1965 with a cover of Shakin’ All Over and begat The Guess
