17 de mar. de 2003 · Walter Elias Disney was born in Chicago Dec. 5, 1901. His family later moved to Marceline, Mo., but returned to Chicago where Walt became interested in drawing and photography at McKinley High school. He studied cartooning at night at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts.
28 de nov. de 2019 · What strong people they were, and I’m sure many other residents in McKinley Park and Brighton Park could share similar stories, photos and memories. I have taught and coached at nearby Kelly High School for 32 years, and it has always mystified me that our area has no historical society, unlike many other Chicago neighborhoods.
7 de dez. de 2020 · Walt Disney went to McKinley High School in Chicago, but he dropped out at 16 to join the U.S Army. At just 16, he was too young, so Disney joined the Red Cross instead. Walt Disney is proof that although education is important, it isn’t always necessary if you have a specific passion and massive amounts of talent.

5 de dez. de 2011 · The new family residence for Elias, Flora, Walt, and Ruth was at 1523 West Ogden Avenue. Walt Disney was a high school freshman in this building. (2008 photo) After working the summer selling candy on the railroad, 15-year-old Walt entered McKinley High School in Chicago at 2040 West Adams Street in Chicago.
