Sowohl Gustav Meyer als auch Hermann Jäger fühlten sich bemüßigt, in ihren Gartenbüchern (s. u.) einen Abschnitt über den Glienicker Park zu verfassen und ihn damit in die bedeutendsten Parkanlagen überhaupt einzureihen.
