19 de mai. de 2024 · In Howson's time the cathedral church was enlarged. In the mid 1870s the bishop's palace to the west was demolished. The north-west tower of the cathedral had been walled off from the nave and used as part of the palace; by 1885 it was incorporated into the cathedral as a baptistery.
