  2. 28 de mai. de 2024 · The college was founded by Walter de Stapledon, Bishop of Exeter in 1314; he subsequently acquired St. Stephen's Hall as part of the present site. Originally called Stapledon Hall, it became Exeter Hall and eventually Exeter College. A chapel, on the first floor of a two-storey building, was consecrated in 1326; a new library was built in 1383.
