With a tour of the US and then Europe looming the Stones didn’t have enough time to record a new album and be ready to get back out on the road – so the decision was made to quickly get in the studio to record some new vocals and instrumental sections and add them to previously unreleased tracks, recorded between 1972 and 1979.

Apesar de estarem na Jamaica durante o período de explosão mundial do reggae, não há o menor sinal do ritmo no disco.
