“Fast Food Nation” est tiré du livre éponyme devenu bestseller du journaliste américain Eric Schlosser. Dans le film sont présents au casting des stars comme Kris Kristofferson, Avril Lavigne ou encore Bruce Willis. Tous trois tenaient à manifester leur soutien personnel au film.
