Marcello Mastroianni ( Fontana Liri, 28 september 1924 – Parijs, 19 december 1996) was een Italiaanse acteur. Hij was de broer van de auteur Ruggero Mastroianni en dus de oom van diens dochter Federica Mastroianni . Marcello Mastroianni werd geboren in Fontana Liri, een klein dorpje in de Apennijnen, maar groeide op in Turijn en Rome.
Marcello Mastroianni var gift med en och samma kvinna från 1950 fram till sin död. Likväl hade han flera omtalade kärleksaffärer. I slutet av 1960-talet med Faye Dunaway , som han träffade under inspelningen av Amanti . Åren 1971–1975 hade han ett kärleksförhållande med den franska skådespelerskan Catherine Deneuve med vilken han fick dottern Chiara.
