Bipin Laxman Singh Rawat (Pauri; 16 de marzo de 1958- Coonoor; 8 de diciembre de 2021) [1] fue un oficial militar indio que era un general de cuatro estrellas del ejército indio. Se desempeñó como el primer Jefe de Estado Mayor de la Defensa (CDS) de las Fuerzas Armadas de la India desde enero de 2020 hasta su muerte en un accidente de helicóptero en diciembre de 2021.

8 de dez. de 2021 · Bipin Rawat had an illustrious and long career as an officer of the Indian Army. An alumnus of St Edward School, Shimla, and the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, he was was commissioned in the Fifth Battalion of the Eleven Gorkha Rifles (the same unit as his father) in December 1978, from Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, where he was awarded the ‘Sword of Honour’.
