But the eldest son of Francis’s uncle was killed in a car accident in the 1930s and the title, along with 8,000 acres of land on two estates in Shropshire and Gwynedd, passed to Francis’s father, after the death of William Ormsby-Gore, 4th Baron Harlech in 1964.
