Louis Nicolas Davout, o d'Avoût, duca d'Auerstedt e principe d'Eckmühl (Annoux, 10 maggio 1770 – Parigi, 1º giugno 1823), è stato un generale francese, Maresciallo dell'Impero. Dotato di notevoli qualità strategiche e tattiche, ricevette la piena fiducia di Napoleone Bonaparte , di cui divenne uno dei più importanti luogotenenti.

Davout stond bekend om het handhaven van een strenge discipline, en had als bijnaam IJzeren Maarschalk.

En commémoration du bicentenaire de la victoire d'Auerstaedt du 14 octobre 1809 et en hommage à notre parrain de promotion, le maréchal Louis-Nicolas Davout (1770-1823) duc d'Auerstaedt, prince d'Eckmühl, gouverneur du grand duché de Varsovie puis de Hambourg, ministre de la guerre, pair de France.
