Thin Lizzy est un groupe irlandais de hard rock formé à Dublin en 1969. À l'origine un trio composé d'Eric Bell , Phil Lynott (bassiste, chanteur et principal compositeur) et Brian Downey , le groupe connaît un premier succès en 1973 avec Whiskey in the Jar, une adaptation d'un air traditionnel irlandais.
Thin Lizzy is een Ierse hardrockband. De kern van de band vormden zanger en bassist Phil Lynott en drummer Brian Downey. De samenstelling van de band wisselde in de loop der jaren regelmatig. Naast frontman zanger/bassist Phil Lynott waren de opmerkelijkste leden Brian Robertson en Scott Gorham. Gary Moore speelde gitaar op het album Black Rose.
