  1. Tchaikovsky in Saint Petersburg. The Tchaikovsky family moved to Saint Petersburg from November 1848 to May 1849, before removing to Alapayevsk. However, Tchaikovsky returned to the capital in 1850 when he was enrolled at the Imperial School of Jurisprudence, and lived in the city until he moved to Moscow in January 1866.

  2. In 1788, A. Rzhevsky acquired the property and built a building of two wings connected by a gate. Under the next owner I. Neplyuev, a major reconstruction of the house was carried out. In 1835, Neplyuev’s heirs sold the house to Prince P. Oldenburg, who planned to establish a Law School in it.
