Arnold Joost van Keppel, 1. Earl of Albemarle KG (* 1669 in Zutphen; † 30. Mai 1718 in Den Haag) aus dem Adelsgeschlecht derer von Keppel war ein niederländischer Adeliger im Dienst Wilhelms von Oranien. Als dieser englischer König wurde, begleitete ihn Keppel nach England. Er stieg zum einflussreichen Favoriten des Königs auf.

Lady Theodora Keppel (c. 1861 – 30 October 1945), married Colonel Leslie Davidson and had issue. Hon. Sir Derek William George Keppel (1863–1944). Lady Hilda Mary Keppel (29 August 1864 – 7 October 1955), unmarried.
This caricature, and those of RCIN 917009 and 917008, have all traditionally been attributed to Arnold Keppel, 8th Earl of Albemarle. Keppel was, however, only eight years old when this watercolour was executed, which makes his authorship seem unlikely.
