His mother was Catherine, née Seymour (1693–1731), daughter of Charles Seymour, sixth duke of Somerset.

  7. Biography. Charles Wyndham, 2nd Earl of Egremont was born on 19 August 1710. He was the son of Sir William Wyndham, 3rd Bt. and Lady Catherine Seymour. He married Hon. Alicia Maria Carpenter, daughter of George Carpenter, 2nd Baron Carpenter of Killaghy and Elizabeth Petty, on 12 March 1750/51. He died on 21 August 1763 at age 53.
