  1. 18 de jan. de 2023 · Margery (Margaret) le Despencer, 3rd Baroness le Despenser was the daughter and heiress of Philip le Despencer, 2nd Baron le Despencer. She was born about 1397 in Nettlestead, Gloucestershire, England, and married John de Ros, 7th Baron de Ros. He died without heirs, and she married secondly.

Margery was sent to join the household of her mother’s half sister, Elizabeth Tylney, countess of Surrey, at Sheriff Hutton Castle, Yorkshire, and was there at the time poet John Skelton was writing his poem the Garland of Laurel in praise of the countess and her ladies.
