Steffi Graf wurde in der Entbindungsklinik Altendorf-Groh in der Waldhornstraße 27 in Mannheim- Neckarau geboren. [4] Sie war drei Jahre alt, als sie in ihrer Heimatgemeinde Brühl 1973 zum ersten Mal einen Tennisschläger in die Hand nahm.
