BABE RUTH. BABE RUTH é uma banda de Rock de Hatfield, Hertfordshire, Inglaterra. A história da banda começa em 1971 quando, após se formar na Royal Academy of Music, Alan Shacklock formou a banda que levava seu nome, SHACKLOCK, com David Hewitt no baixo, Dave Punshon no piano, Dick Powell na bateria e Jenny Haan como vocalista.

Babe Ruth´s debut album First Base was an excellent rock album with lots of progressive tendencies ( most notably a cover of King Kong by Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention ) while this second album is a bit more simple and influenced by both soul and funk.
