  2. War and Remembrance is a worthy and jolting read, but lacked pace, trying to cram so much in, that it fell dead in the water at times. The characters are all believable and the reader is transported back in time to WWII and the Holocaust is relayed in graphically superb detail of which is deserving of 5 stars on its own - alas though, the pacing brings the overall rating back to 4.
