LaFace Records. LaFace Records est un label discographique américain, basé à Atlanta, en Géorgie. Fondé en 1989 par Antonio « L.A. » Reid et Kenneth « Babyface » Edmonds, le label est une filiale de Sony BMG Music Entertainment. Antonio "L.A." Reid cofounded LaFace Records, a rap and rhythm-and-blues label in Atlanta, with Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds in 1989. Reid continued to manage the company after Edmonds's departure in 1993, and since 2000 he has served as the president and chief executive officer of Arista Records, which bought out LaFace that same year.

After The Deele disbanded, Reid and bandmate Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds founded LaFace in 1989 through a joint venture with Arista Records, with funding from Arista Records creator Clive Davis. The label soon became one of the premier destinations for popular African-American entertainers who created Black Pop music that was easily accessible to both Urban and Top 40 radio formats.

He’s still learning, because he’s still finding new ways to bring vision into existence.
23 de mar. de 2019 · LaFace Records, a joint venture with Arista Records, helped OutKast, Pink, TLC, and several others start their careers. He was CEO of Arista from 2000 to 2004, and he moved on to becoming chairman of Island Def Jam Music Group from 2004 to 2011. From there, he became president and CEO of Epic Records until 2017.
