Piranha Sharks ist dermaßen schlecht, dass einem sogar manche Asylum Produktionen dagegen wie kleine Filmperlen erscheinen. Mal ganz davon angesehen, dass die Story völliger Humbug ist (aber das ist ja schließlich im Großteil dieser Filme immer so), wirken nicht nur die Spezialeffekte völlig lachhaft, auch die Laienschauspielgruppe wirkt wenig überzeugend.
