Michael Caine stars as Secret agent Harry Palmer, who fights to survive brainwashing when a traitor hands him over to the enemy. While attempting to bring in the suspect Bluejay (Frank Gatliff), Palmer discovers a mysterious audiotape labeled.
Harry Palmer joins the British Intelligence Service and starts working under the direct orders of Commander Dalby in the Civil Section, in charge of finding out why a great number of British scientists dedicated to investigations of high strategic interest voluntarily abandon their occupation, disappear or go into the service of other nations.
