  1. 16 de jan. de 2016 · They transitioned manufacture to Italy in the mid-60s (made by Eko). The quality was good, and the design of the guitars were a little more conventional. These 60's Voxes (English and Italian) represent a great vintage value IMO. The Univox's of the 70's were mostly copies of well-known brands.

  2. 8 de mai. de 2012 · I have a Univox U-1011 which I wasn't too fond of until I removed the .005 bright cap and added a 33mf cathode cap over the .68 cathode. I'm thinking of upping the plate and cathode resistors on this 1st stage, as well. 145 volts is pretty low compared to a Fender. Now I'd like to loosen it up a...

  3. 25 de dez. de 2008 · After my first amp, circa '91 (Traynor Reverb Master), a blue Univox lead was my second, but sold in a move to the west coast. Then I bumped into a full 2x12 half-stack on Long Island, NY in about 2000. (pictured below) Nostalgia kicked-in and I took it home. I sold it long ago on ebay, but I loved it.

  4. 25 de set. de 2016 · Hello all, I have in my possession a Univox coily. I don't really play it any more and am looking to get rid of it. The guitar has a green burst finish and a roller bridge with 2 pickups. Plays OK but probably could use a setup and a slight neck shim might help as well. My question is, are...

  5. 4 de mai. de 2024 · This post is honestly just for the sake of discussion, gotta get my mind off things. This is my Dad's old Hi-Flier, only the body and neck are original, completely gutted. I think it was a garbage pick before i was born in 96. He recently rebuilt it with pretty much more parts he found in the...

  6. 13 de fev. de 2013 · Messages. 332. Feb 13, 2013. #1. I've got an old Univox Hi-flier lying around which has "P90"s in it. The reason I say "P90"s is cause they don't really sound like it at all and I've been told that they're not standard P90-sized either. They squeal and hum and sound terrible, so I'd like to replace them with some other pickups.

  7. 27 de out. de 2010 · This is photo of my Univox Coily. The pickguard is not original. I purchased it used a few years back. Main reason being is that my very first guitar, almost 40 years ago, was a Univox Coily. It was a solid red finish rather than the one shown here. The tremolo on mine is not that great, but the rest of it is fine - especially for what I paid ...

  8. 10 de mai. de 2012 · Aug 31, 2015. #7. Seeing your avatar, I assume that you also like Doom metal and stoner -> Super Fuzz all the way ! The super fuzz is ideal for stoner rock, fu manchu in a box! Nice for electric wizard too! A lot of stoner bands use it a lot. The boss Hyper Fuzz is a Super Fuzz clone, and quite cheap. The companion fuzz is really a one-trick ...

  9. 26 de set. de 2008 · Murrell estimates that he built 3000 Guitorgans between 1967 and 1984, but he also filled custom orders after 1984. For an instrument as odd as it is, there were quite a few of them produced and they don t bring as much money as one would think. Most Guitorgans can be found priced between $900 and $1200.

  10. 21 de set. de 2009 · Mine is an Epi 5102TE, which was also sold under the model number EA250. From what I gather it was also sold as Aria 5102 and is very similar to the Univox Coily model, and rebadged as Lyle, Conrad, and a whole bunch of other names. In any case, the pickups are an unusual length and width, certainly not a match for the PAF-copy standard and don ...
