16 de jan. de 2016 · They transitioned manufacture to Italy in the mid-60s (made by Eko). The quality was good, and the design of the guitars were a little more conventional. These 60's Voxes (English and Italian) represent a great vintage value IMO. The Univox's of the 70's were mostly copies of well-known brands.

25 de dez. de 2008 · After my first amp, circa '91 (Traynor Reverb Master), a blue Univox lead was my second, but sold in a move to the west coast. Then I bumped into a full 2x12 half-stack on Long Island, NY in about 2000. (pictured below) Nostalgia kicked-in and I took it home. I sold it long ago on ebay, but I loved it.

The reason I say "P90"s is cause they don't really sound like it at all and I've been told that they're not standard P90-sized either. They squeal and hum and sound terrible, so I'd like to replace them with some other pickups.

Main reason being is that my very first guitar, almost 40 years ago, was a Univox Coily. It was a solid red finish rather than the one shown here. For an instrument as odd as it is, there were quite a few of them produced and they don t bring as much money as one would think. Most Guitorgans can be found priced between $900 and $1200.
