It is definitely a money-saver especially if you know some basic Chinese (or have some translation software) and know how to navigate Taobao. The prices in their store is so much cheaper than 3rd party sites.

14 de jun. de 2020 · I have written a short and simple guide to buying from Taobao. Hope it is useful for everyone here. It does not contain everything, but you can consider it as the basic things to note of when buying.
Taobao Agents. Agents you can use to buy from Taobao. You will need to pay the full price for the item plus shipping to the agent’s warehouse, then commission/handling fees (not normally very expensive), and then for shipping to your country. You will need to pay your country’s import fees when it arrives, as you would when importing anything.

21 de set. de 2023 · I have been trying to get verification on my Taobao account. My Alipay account is verified, but I still get a prompt to verify on taobao or I cannot login. The thing is, I can upload my passport picture (I've seen most problems with other users are that they can't upload the pic) but after completing the information it always says it's incorrect.
18 de abr. de 2018 · Maybe try using phone app instead. For some reason, taobao simply wouldn't let me log in when I am using my computers. I tried for days, even attempted to use VPN, but to no avail. But I ended downloading taobao iPhone app, and voila, managed to purchase what I want within minutes.
29 de nov. de 2021 · I love Taobao for low weight, higher dollar items. I once bought an item that was small but expensive due to manufacturing techniques required. Was about $185 for the items and about $20 for shipping. Exact same items would have cost about $285 on Etsy. There is no magical percent or factor.
