But what most people don’t realize is that to type fast and accurate you need to build muscle memory for each individual WORD! Every time you type a word correctly, your brain builds muscle memory for it. Every time you mistype a word, the wrong muscle memory is reinforced.

I recommend using Keybr mainly to practice and supplement that with typeracer, as Keybr doesn't really incorporate capitalization, punctuation and other special symbols. I found keybr to be incredibly slow at adding letters, I still couldn't unlock all the letters when I was typing at 50+ wpm. It will only add a letter when all of the letters you have currently are at a confidence of 1, this basically means a consistent increase in your wpm per test per the letter you are 'working on'.
17 de jan. de 2022 · Your new goal, when using keybr is to complete each lesson (the new longer lessons) with no more than 4 errors. If you can get to the point where 4 errors feels really sloppy then you will be faster, more accurate and more consistent than you are now by a long way.
19 de fev. de 2021 · You shouldn't look at keybr as a place to gauge your true typing speed. Keybr is intentionally slowing you down by challenging you in the places you are weak. It does this to fix your weak spots and turn weaknesses into strengths. This is why it is so good at helping to increase your speed.
24 de mai. de 2021 · How does KeyBR work I've been trying to learn touch typing over the last couple months, currently up to around 75 WPM. I've seen a lot of people tacking about KeyBR being helpful since it focuses on your worst keys so I've been doing about 20 minutes a day there for a few weeks.
25 de nov. de 2020 · I complete each lesson to 5 stars before I move along, and the game has been adjusting my target speed as I improve, which has kept things challenging. I still check in to keybr every now and then, and my speed is consistently improving - top speed gone from high 40s to 66.6, and averages during a session from low 30s to upper 50s-low 60s.

Maybe avoid touching it if that's what you're doing? I started using keybr yesterday, but every few seconds it says click or press Enter to activate and I have to start over.
