8 de mar. de 2019 · Legendary composer Victor Herbert finds himself in the middle of a conflict between tenor John Ramsey and Ramsey’s wife, singer Louise Hall. As the couple’s marriage deteriorates, it’s revealed that Louise ventured to New York from a small town, met John and married him.
Louise Hall, a choir girl from the small town of Riverford, foresakes her boyfriend, a country doctor, to make her name as a singer in New York. There she meets John Ramsey, star of the Victor Herbert operas. John is so smitten with Louise that he promotes her career, finally making her a star of such magnitude that she eclipses his own.
