TIE is an international EFL exam developed in Ireland by ACELS, a government agency. It can be taken by junior and adult students on either short or long courses in Ireland or abroad.

TIE Exam is a flexible and learner-centred test of English for students over 18, certified by IELT and recognised by the Irish Department of Justice and Equality. It consists of a speaking and a writing test based on topics of interest to the candidates.
