Alan Parsons OBE (born 20 December 1948) is an English audio engineer, songwriter, musician and record producer. Parsons was the sound engineer on albums including the Beatles ' Abbey Road (1969) and Let It Be (1970), Pink Floyd 's The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), and the eponymous debut album by Ambrosia in 1975.

Eye in the Sky is the sixth studio album by British rock band the Alan Parsons Project, released in May 1982 by Arista Records. At the 25th Annual Grammy Awards in 1983, Eye in the Sky was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Engineered Album.
But it was his contribution as engineer on Pink Floyd’s classic The Dark Side Of The Moon that really got him world attention. That soon led to striking successes as a producer – notably with Pilot’s Magic, John Miles’ Highfly and Music and Steve Harley’s (Come Up And See Me) Make Me Smile.
