For those that really enjoy the caped crusader, this game has a lot to offer you. The brilliant voice acting from Christian Bale and Liam Neeson is a standout addition to the game. Plus, the game is able to convey a lot of the dark and gritty tones that the Batman seriesis synonymous with which works in it’s favour.
The gameplay is really what lets this game down. It’s far from a train wreck though it’s lack of clarity on what it wants to be as a title leads to a disjointed experience. The game tries to borrow assets from other popular games of the time in its movement, combat style and progression systems and through doing so, offers very little unique moment...
If we think of this movie tie-in as a sounding board for better games to come then this somewhat average title can be forgiven. This is a decent portrayal of the movie in question, follows the plot to the letter and delivers snippets of gold that Batman fans who have not played this one won’t want to miss out on.
