It is set in 100 acres of grounds which include the deer park and Addison’s riverside walk. It is a lively college with an active and inclusive undergraduate body of about 400 students, who can live in college accommodation for the whole of their course.
Magdalen College has gardens, pleasure grounds and a deer park covering about 12 hectares. There is also a large wildflower meadow and a riverside walk. The gardens originated at the foundation of the college in 1458 and have continued to developed since that date.
Alongside a tradition of academic excellence, Magdalen is best known for its architecture including the iconic Great Tower, its warm and welcoming community, and its extensive grounds which include a deer park, a Water Meadow, and Addison’s Walk.
