Unlike Dear Esther, which just spouts exposition as you walk through its loose metaphor of an environment, Edith Finch is all about discovering the narrative by closely observing every detail of the house. I have much higher opinions of Firewatch's storytelling, but its environmental storytelling isn't as involved as Edith Finch's.
